Description

“Women’s Revolution in Politics” is a project managed and organized by Fifty Fifty and supported by UNWomen Beirut.

The project aims to support a cadre of reform minded female leaders, from across all Lebanese regions, to successfully run for parliamentary elections 2022.

Activities
  • Formed a support group for all female participants on FB to share political opinions.
  • Joint bootcamp/retreat between Women’s Revolution in Politics and The NYOU Parliament programs, where participants took part in political debates and roundtable discussions, as well as mindfulness activities and exercises.
  • Supported potential female candidates through one-to-one coaching sessions, individual films, and TV exposure.
  • TV Show on LBCI to highlight the female candidate’s political knowledge and expertise.
Outcomes
  • 53 out of 118 enlisted female candidates benefitted fully or partially from WRP Program making up 45%.
  • Established a Think-tank/Network of 450 female
  • Highly capable female candidates were introduced to the Lebanese community.
  • Female candidates were highlighted on TV and social media.
