Zeina Akar is a former Minister of Defense in Lebanon, serving from January 21, 2020, to September 10, 2021, in the government of Prime Minister Hassan Diab. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Management and Marketing from the Lebanese American University, she worked at Save the Children USA and later co-founded “Information International” and “The Social and Cultural Development Association (INMA).” Since 1995, Information International has focused on research and consulting across sectors like social, economic, and environmental studies. Zeina also played a key role in founding INMA, which runs sustainable projects in agriculture, tourism, and information technology. One of its notable projects is the Nabu Museum in northern Lebanon.
