Dr. Rayanne Assaf is a Lebanese attorney with a PhD in International Law and Arbitration from Panthéon Assas Paris II. She has expertise in litigation and arbitration, serving as an arbitrator in international and domestic cases, including commercial, construction, financial, and investor-state disputes. Dr. Assaf has held significant positions, including leading the Legal Department at the Lebanese Presidency (2008-2014), where she worked on political, legal, and administrative reforms in Lebanon. She contributed to key projects such as the Electoral Law, Decentralization, and maritime border delimitation. Dr. Assaf was involved in the Lebanese delegation for maritime negotiations with Cyprus, the UN General Assembly, and several other international forums. She is a member of the Legal Committee at the Maronite Center for Documentation and Research and has published extensively on Lebanon’s political system, constitutional amendments, electoral law, decentralization, and maritime borders. She has also contributed to numerous workshops and seminars on arbitration.
