Dima Sadek, born on February 28, 1980, in Lebanon, is a prominent Lebanese journalist and news anchor known for her work on OTV and LBCI. She studied political science at Saint Joseph University in Beirut. Throughout her career, Sadek has been a vocal advocate for secularism and liberal values, often facing harassment for her outspoken views. In February 2020, she publicly condemned an assault by the Free Patriotic Movement (FPM), leading to a defamation lawsuit filed against her by the FPM. In July 2023, she was convicted and sentenced to one year in prison and fined 110 million Lebanese pounds. Despite these challenges, Sadek continues to be an influential figure in Lebanese media, recognized for her commitment to free speech and her efforts to combat corruption. She maintains an active presence on social media platforms, including Instagram and Facebook, where she engages with a broad audience.
