Asma Andraos is the managing partner of Stree, a Beirut and Dubai-based events design & production firm. In the past few years, Asma and her partners have managed to grow Stree into a well-established event marketing and live communication agency operating in Lebanon and the Gulf countries. The agency develops event solutions for institutional, commercial, and governmental entities. The agency also carries a department focused on private events development. Prior to setting up Stree, Asma worked in advertising. In 2005, following the assassination of Prime Minister Rafic Hariri, Asma was very much involved in the peaceful Cedar Revolution of Lebanon, during which she led the civil society group within the Independence 05 Movement. Following her being honored by Time Magazine that year, she was approached by the Prime Minister’s Office and worked part-time in the Presidency of the Council of Ministers in her capacity as communications advisor from 2006 to 2010. In 2010, Asma resigned from her position at the PCM and joined former PM Saad Hariri’s team as head of public relations and events. She is a member of the Lebanese Transparency Association, Young Arab Leaders, and a founding member of OSAMAM, a Lebanese civic NGO. Asma earned a BA in Political Science from Concordia University. She has been married since July 2014. She is a Fellow of the inaugural class of the Middle East Leadership Initiative of The Aspen Institute and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
