Description
- This project aims to support Lebanese women to run for the upcoming 2023 municipal elections, in all Lebanese regions and from all political backgrounds.
- Shedding light on the importance of local development in municipal life.
Activities
- Conducting one-to-one coaching sessions in preparations for the upcoming 2023 municipal elections.
- Conducting door-to-door visits to increase presence in respective regions.
- Producing a video podcast to highlight potential female mayors/ heads of municipal councils for the upcoming 2023 municipal elections.
- Highlighting potential female mayors/ heads of municipal councils on a socio-political TV Program.
Create a collaboration network among national and regional elected females.
Outcomes
- Potential female candidates willing to run for Municipal Elections, are recruited in 9 Muhafazat.
- Candidates are trained, on—site, in their regions according to a special training curriculum designed by our gender and electoral experts.
- 100 potential candidates will receive advanced one-to-one training for municipal elections 2023.
- 80 potential female mayors/heads of councils highlighted on social media through an online video podcast and on traditional media through a socio-political TV Program.
