Elected as a member of the Lebanese Parliament for the Maronite seat of Kesserwan al-Ftouh on May 15th, 2022, she is married to Dr. Youssef el Khoury and a mother of two daughters, Julia and Alexa. She holds a degree in economics from Saint Joseph University in Beirut and a master’s degree in management from Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Paris (ESCP Europe). After completing her higher education in Paris, she worked for four years in financial and practical strategies to restructure international companies. In 2010, she was recruited by the Ministry of Energy and Water of Lebanon to build and implement a new strategy for the sector while restructuring and organizing the institution. In 2016, she was appointed coordinator of the FPM Energy Advisory Committee and, in 2019, became the youngest and first woman Minister of Energy and Water after ten years of hard work and dedication. She is also the founder of La Kesserwan NGO, focusing on the economic, social, and ecological development of Keserwan-El Ftouh, youth empowerment, and community support. Within a year and a half, she successfully completed projects related to agriculture, health, social services, solar energy, and SMEs. Her credentials include a master’s degree in management, an economics degree, and experience in planning and implementing Lebanon’s electricity strategy and launching gas and oil prospects.
