Description
Youth Catalysts: Shaping a Coalition for Civic Engagement and Anti-Corruption” aims to empower 60 Lebanese youths aged 15 to 24 from Tripoli, Beirut, and Mount Lebanon.
This project, implemented by Fiftyfifty, Masar Association, and Youth Forum Tripoli, seeks to address barriers limiting youth participation in Lebanon’s civic life and enhance their agency in combating corruption and advocating for policy reforms
Activities
- Enhance youth civic engagement and leadership by training 60 young participants to form a group dedicated to fighting corruption and promoting good governance.
- Build collaborative anti-corruption networks by organizing a dialogue between the participants to discuss and share community needs and proposed initiatives.
- Increase visibility and engagement by promoting project activities on social media platforms.
- Facilitate cross-regional youth dialogue by establishing platforms for dialogue among youth from different regions to share experiences, strategies, and best practices for combating corruption.
- Address community-specific challenges by conducting needs assessments and developing targeted community action plans.
Outcomes
- Increased Civic Participation through the training and activities of 60 Lebanese youths to become active participants in their communities, engaging in local governance and civic initiatives.
- Enhanced Public Awareness through the social media campaigns, leading to greater public awareness on the importance of youth civic engagement and the fight against corruption.
